Charting What Others Overlook
Most traders stare at outright price charts — the price of crude oil, the price of gold, the S&P 500 level. Spread traders look at something different: the difference between two prices. Reading spread charts requires a shift in mindset because the chart patterns, support/resistance levels, and trend signals apply to the spread value itself, not to either individual commodity.
